Slice of Life # 20

I think that sometimes people get a bit touchy about insignificant things. I read another article about a kid getting sent home for a shirt. This time a fifth grader from Montreal, Canada who wore a Senators jersey. Keila went to a private school and on the day of a big game between the Canadiens and the Senators the school decided that they wouldn't have to wear their uniforms if they wore a Canadiens jersey and she had grown up being a Senators fan so instead of wearing the Canadiens shirt she wore the opposing teams shirt. She got sent to the principals office and when she refused to change she got sent home. I thought that this was one of the most ridiculous things I'd ever heard. I can't believe that kids actually get sent home for having an opinion that differs from a vast majoirty of those around them. I think that so long as they're not hurting anyone then they should be fine and feel free to voice what they feel.
